The address

Two things about that address are worth spelling out. First, the studio is Suite 720, Studio 271 — a private treatment room inside Mattison Avenue Salon & Spa, which is a salon and spa housing a number of independent practitioners. Second, it is by appointment only. There is no reception desk to check in at and no walk-in trade.

Where the building is

Mattison Avenue Salon & Spa is in the Lincoln Park Center, off West Northwest Highway, across from NorthPark Center. If you know NorthPark, you know where this is — the center sits directly opposite it.

It is a short drive from Preston Hollow, Highland Park and University Park, and easy to reach from anywhere on the Central Expressway or Dallas North Tollway corridors.

The two entrances

This is the part that catches people out on a first visit. The building has two separate public entrances, and both lead to the same second floor. Which one you want depends on where you have parked and whether you would rather take the elevator.

Entrance 1 — next to the Cheesecake Factory

This entrance has both stairs and an elevator. Take this one if you would rather not use the stairs, if you are in your third trimester, or if you are carrying anything.

Entrance 2 — the white corridor next to Keke’s Restaurant

The second entrance is down a white corridor next to Keke’s Restaurant. Take this one if you have parked closer to that side of the center.

Once you are inside

1. Restrooms are on the left as you come in, before you go up.
2. Take the stairs (or the elevator) to the second floor.
3. Follow the suite numbering to Suite 720, and within it, Studio 271.

Because intake forms and waivers are completed in advance through the booking link, there is no paperwork waiting for you — arriving a few minutes before your appointment is enough once you know the way. On a first visit, allow about ten.

If you would rather not do any of this

That is a perfectly good reason to book in-home instead.
